Veritas is a new collection of sculptures and reliefs created with earth conscious materials to explore ancient mythologies in a contemporary context. 

​Research and a self directed artist residency in Crete, Greece, enriched this work.

​Veritas gives life to mythical characters, and complex questions. The old Latin word for truth, Veritas,  collides with the slippery modern version. Some old stories still inspire, while others do not. The artwork illustrates that for women, much needs to be re-written. ​

Like life, Veritas is dark, yet also offers moments of radiance, and hope. 

​​A life size female shadow, 'Night Form', suggests that even in dark times it's possible to walk with grace. I did just that on my beautiful island. On pitch black nights, no moon, strained eyes, stumbling feet, my formless form, elegant, searching for light.
